Riccardo Pipo Chica
My name is Riccardo Chica, and my journey in motocross began on my 7th birthday in 2015, igniting a passion that has driven me ever since. Remarkably, within just a few months of starting, I secured 3rd place in my very first race! By 2017, I transitioned into competitive racing. I began on a KTM 50, quickly moving up to a KTM 65 as I honed my skills. While in South Africa, I proudly achieved club champion status in multiple series and even led regional competitions for a time. However, my family relocated to the USA in 2018, presenting new challenges and opportunities on my motocross journey.
Since relocating to the USA, I have had the privilege of competing at the Mini O's four times, consistently achieving top-10 finishes that reflect my dedication and hard work. In 2023, I proudly qualified for Loretta Lynn's, which was a significant milestone in my racing career. I have also secured 15 AMA state championships, highlighting my competitive edge.
The year 2024 stands out as my most successful yet, as I clinched three state championships in Ohio at Briarcliff MX in the 250B, Open B, and Schoolboy 2 classes. Moreover, I dominated at Tomahawk MX, winning additional state championships in College Boy, 250B, and Schoolboy 2. My accomplishment of winning the Maryland state championship in Schoolboy 2 at Budds Creek MX further showcases my prowess on the track.
With two tickets to Loretta Lynn's in hand, I proudly won the regional championship at Budds Creek in 2023. Additionally, I have amassed eight Mid-Atlantic Motocross Association championships and eight Capital Motocross Cup championships, including titles in College Boy, Schoolboy 2, and Open B. As I look ahead to 2025, I eagerly anticipate my second-year racing in the B class. I am driven to continue pushing my limits and achieving
